Addie takes regular horse-riding lessons in Kuna, Idaho.
When she arrived at the stables on that fateful Saturday just a few days before Christmas, she was unaware that she would receive the surprise of her life. Her riding coach told her that she wouldn't be using her regular horse. Instead, Addison would be training on a four-year-old appaloosa named Pablo.
Once Addie and Pablo were face-to-muzzle, Make-A-Wish® Idaho revealed that Pablo, bedecked for the event in ribbons and garland, was her wish horse. Addie immediately hugged her new horse and was described by family as being on "cloud nine." Pablo and Addie spent the rest of the day together, riding, bonding and getting to know one another.
By all accounts, Pablo is a patient and easygoing horse, perfect for a young rider. Addie has been riding horses nearly four years and rides as often as her health allows.
The family, who loves their new four-legged addition, visits Pablo every day at the nearby stables where he is boarded. Addie plans to join 4-H and show Pablo at events.
"Make-A-Wish Idaho really knocked it out of the park with this wish," said Addie's mom Christen.
