A Fantastic Trip 

When Abbigail was born, the doctors quickly realized that she had a serious medical condition. Some of her organs hadn't formed correctly, and her kidneys didn't work. She was put on dialysis immediately. There was also an issue with her spine, and Abbigail utilizes a wheelchair for better mobility.  The good news — Abbigail received a new kidney in 2022. She will still need a few more corrective surgeries on her back and elsewhere, but getting a new kidney meant a new lease on life.

Abbigail is known for being laid-back and easygoing. She's everyone's friend and loves playing with her sister. However, if Abbigail becomes determined to do something then there's just no stopping her. Despite her back problems and her reliance on a wheelchair, she enjoys going down slides, splashing on splash pads, and kicking around four-square balls. For fun, Abbigail likes playing with Barbies, babies, princesses (Rapunzel is her favorite), and Legos. She also likes to paint and look through books. 

For her wish, Abbigail wanted to go to Disney World so she could meet Rapunzel and the other Disney princesses. Before her trip, however, Capital High School in Boise threw a fundraiser in her honor. She had a chance to paint with the students there, and then they held an assembly in the school gym where actresses dressed as the princesses came out and met with Abby in front of the whole school.

After that, the faculty turned the lights down low, and the students sang songs from Disney movies while lighting the entire gymnasium with the flickering lights from their phones, mimicking a candlelight vigil or a last-century rock concert. Abbigail watched the entire performance from a makeshift canoe like the one that Pocahantas piloted in her animated adventure. 

Finally, the day of the wish trip arrived. Abbigail traveled the Orlando with her sister, parents, and grandparents. She met Princess Tiana, Woody and Jesse from Toy Story, Anna, Elsa, Goofy, and Mickey Mouse. But best of all, she got a big hug from Rapunzel herself.  

Additionally, Abby rode the Hogwarts Express and spent some time learning about magic with the instructors and students at Hogwarts. “It was truly a fantastic trip. Thank you to all of you,” her mom Sarah said.
