Make-A-Wish Idaho to Hold 8th Annual Walk For Wishes on June 3

Boise, ID: The 8th Annual Walk for Wishes Boise will be held in conjunction with Music on the Water on Friday, June 3. Registration starts at 5:00 p.m. with the walk kicking off at 6 p.m. sharp. This year’s walk will be an in-person event held at Esther Simplot Park. The walk is approximately one mile in length and will follow the trail around Quinn’s Pond.

Walk for Wishes Boise, presented by Corwin Ford, is an event that celebrates wishes that have been granted in Idaho, while raising funds for future wishes. You can sign up today as a walk team, or volunteer. There is no registration fee; though Make-A-Wish® Idaho asks participants to raise $100 or more to help grant wishes for Idaho wish kids. Walkers can sign up to walk and raise funds at Idaho.wish.org.

There are over 150 Idaho wish kids with critical illnesses waiting on their wishes. Make-A-Wish Idaho’s goal is to grant 87 wishes this year. Due to an increase in the average cost of a wish and as more travel wishes are granted, community participation and philanthropy has become more important than ever.

Make-A-Wish Idaho’s goal is to raise $60,000 from the walk, enough money to grant 6 local wishes. To participate in the Walk, register at Idaho.wish.org.
