Make-A-Wish Idaho Grants Customized Playhouse Wish to Three-Year-Old Viola Girl

Viola ID: Make-A-Wish Idaho will grant three-year-old Keasling’s wish for a blue playhouse with a custom kitchen on August 15.

Keasling aka “Keasy” has a rare nervous system disorder which causes potentially dangerous skin lesions (as well as other health issues), so she cannot be in in direct sun for extended periods. The illness has created tension in her life as Keasy enjoys the outdoors, especially camping with the family and ATV rides with dad.

Since Keasy has to ration her time outdoors especially on sunny days, she wished to have a playhouse, so she can have a safe, shaded place to play, no matter the weather.

Keasy requested several customizations to the playhouse. As an aspiring chef, Keasy’s playhouse will have a (play) kitchen where she can cook up imaginary feasts for guests.  Additionally, she also requested that the playhouse be painted blue, so that it resembles Cookie Monster, her favorite Muppet.

Keasy’s wish is one of 95 “to have,” “to be” and local “to go” wishes that Make-A-Wish Idaho has granted since the pandemic started in 2020. However, there are currently over 140 Idaho wish kids waiting on their wishes. As the world opens back up, Make-A-Wish Idaho will need extra support to ensure that waiting wishes are granted quickly and safely.
