Give through your Donor Advised Fund

A Donor Advised Fund, or DAF, is a powerful giving tool that allows you to make a lasting impact while also maximizing the tax benefits of charitable donations. By recommending a grant to Make-A-Wish Hawaii through your DAF, you’ll help us bring hope, strength, and joy to even more keiki right here in our islands. 

Here’s how your DAF gift can make a difference:

  • Strength: Many of our wish kids experience profound emotional and physical healing in anticipation of or after their wishes are granted—wishes that are made possible through your support.

A DAF is a charitable giving vehicle that allows you to make a charitable contribution, receive an immediate tax deduction, and then recommend grants from your fund over time. You can contribute to the fund as frequently as you like, and then recommend grants to your charities, like Make-A-Wish Hawaii, whenever it is convenient for you. 

How to make a DAF gift:

It's easy to make a gift to Make-A-Wish Hawaii through a DAF. If you have an account with Fidelity Charitable, Schwab Charitable, BNY Mellon, access the DAF Direct link to make a gift conveniently from your account. Fill in the institution, the designation (how the funds are to be used) and the gift amount.

Monthly Donations through a DAF 
You can schedule monthly gifts to Make-A-Wish Hawaii through your DAF. 

You can also make monthly gifts by credit card.  

DAF Beneficiary Designation

Just as you can include a charity as a beneficiary of your IRA or insurance policy, you can name Make-A-Wish Hawaii as the successor beneficiary of your Donor Advised Fund.
