Wish It Forward

What is Wish It Forward? It’s a supportive group of wish kids and families whose wishes were granted by Make-A-Wish Greater Bay Area, or they had a wish granted by another chapter but they live in the greater Bay Area now. Through this program, we are:

• Building relationships between wish alumni and families.  
• Offering a way to “wish it forward” and ensure the next child receives their wish.
• Providing the opportunity for wish families to participate in exclusive events and experiences.

Through our Wish It Forward program, wish alumni can meet other wish families, share their story, attend local events, and stay connected to our mission. Here are some great ways that wish alumni can stay involved with Make-A-Wish:

• Join our Facebook group: You’ll get updates from our chapter here, but the
  real draw is the connection to a group of wish families with inspiring stories just like yours! Request to join our Facebook group.
• Stay Connected: Has your contact information changed? Please keep us updated by filling out our contact update form.
• Donate: Donate to our Wish It Forward campaign. Your support will help more children experience the power of a gift. To take it to the next level, become a monthly donor and help grant wishes all year long!
• Share your story: Your story is powerful, inspiring, and needed. You can share it through a testimonial or wish story, or in person as one of our Wish Ambassadors. Fill out this form to get started.
• Submit a post-wish update: For our 40th birthday, we'd love to know how our wish alumni and family members are doing since their wish was granted. You can share medical updates, career updates, life updates, and more by submitting a wish note.
• Join us at an event: We love to see wish kids and families at our events! When you sign up as a Wish It Forward member, you’ll be kept in the loop on all the upcoming opportunities to gather with our community, including Wish It Forward reunions. Check out our upcoming events!
• Volunteer your time: Our volunteers are at the heart of every wish journey and many of them are wish alumni and family members like you! Learn more and become a volunteer today.
• Start a fundraiser: Rally your school, workplace, or social network to join Make-A-Wish supporters and help make more wishes possible. Learn how to start a fundraiser. 
• Refer a child: Each life-changing wish begins with a referral. If there’s a family in your network who can 
  benefit from a wish, please let them know. Fill out our referral form.

Whether you participate in one or all above, your actions will have a direct impact on the life of wish kids.
