Seventeen-year-old Antonio was diagnosed with cancer during his sophomore year of high school. Antonio beat his cancer and completed treatment in the Fall of 2021. Sadly, shortly thereafter, his mother was also diagnosed with cancer and passed away suddenly.

Antonio loves hockey and plays on his high-school team. He also is a collector of sneakers and enjoys playing on his Xbox. His friends and family call him an old soul for his love of rock music. Most of all, he loves spending time with his family and friends and, when the time came to decide on his wish, he wanted a full basement makeover to have a space to do just that.

Working with a designer, Antonio expressed that he wanted a relaxing space to hang out with his friends, his sister and his family to watch sporting games and movies and do homework. He shared with the designer how excited he was and quickly provided her with a list of all the ideas he had. The room features a 75’ smart tv, a couch, a mini fridge, a microwave, and a coffee bar with bar stools as well as tons of snacks and games. The walls are decorated with photos of his famous sports teams and his family and friends. Antonio’s basement is now the perfect place to have some quiet time to himself, or to have fun with all his friends and family.
