A Perfect Getaway
When Eyden was just eight months old, his world — and his family’s — changed in an instant.
What began as an ordinary day quickly turned terrifying when Eyden suddenly fainted and stopped breathing for ten agonizing minutes. For his family, those moments felt endless — the kind of fear that changes you forever. After numerous doctor’s appointments they believed he was suffering from a seizure disorder and started him on medication. For the next few years, Eyden seemed to thrive. He grew stronger, laughed often, played happily, and slowly, his family began to breathe again. Life finally started to feel normal.
But when Eyden was still very young, a severe cold changed everything once more. Because of his medical history, doctors decided to take a closer look at his heart. The results were devastating. His family was told that he had a serious heart condition and there was little that could be done and that Eyden might only have two to three years to live.
Worse still, there were no pediatric specialists where they lived. No experts nearby. No second opinions. Only fear, uncertainty, and heartbreak.
But Eyden’s family refused to give up. Determined to fight for their son, they made the courageous decision to move to the United States in search of hope and specialized care. And there, everything changed. Eyden finally received the medical care he desperately needed for his heart condition. With the right doctors, the right treatment, and the right support, he stabilized. Little by little, his life began to be filled with hope and possibility.
Now seven years old, Eyden is full of personality, joy, and resilience. He has a huge heart in every sense of the word. He loves animals and lights up anytime he’s near water — whether it’s a pool, a lake, or a splash pad where he can laugh and play freely.
So when Eyden learned he could make a wish, he didn’t think only of himself. He thought about his whole family. He wished for time together — time to laugh, make memories, and simply enjoy being together outside of hospitals and waiting rooms. That’s why he chose Rocking Horse Ranch — a place filled with the two things he loves most: animals and water.
There, Eyden will spend time with horses, visit the petting zoo, splash in the water park, and float peacefully down the lazy river. Most importantly, he’ll get to celebrate his eighth birthday surrounded by the people he loves most. Rocking Horse Ranch will give Eyden something truly special: the chance to simply be a kid. A chance to feel free, joyful, and carefree while surrounded by sunshine, laughter, and love.
