Catherine is an active 14-year-old who takes every opportunity she gets to be outside, whether that be walking her dog, riding her bike, swimming in the lake, or skiing. Despite being diagnosed with lymphoma at the age of 12, her love for the outdoors never faded. For her wish, Catherine wanted to go on a skiing trip to Alta, Utah with her family.
The fun began for Catherine and her family on their first day in Utah as they explored the slopes and took in the beautiful scenery of Alta, and continued on into the next day at Snowbird Ski Resort. After two full days of skiing, Catherine relaxed with a spa day at the Snowpine Lodge where she could unwind and relax. On her last day in Alta, after some rejuvenating rest and relaxation, Catherine skied at Alta one last time before heading to Salt Lake City.
In Salt Lake City, Catherine was excited to go on a sightseeing tour of the city. On the fully-narrated tour, she got to see some of the most popular attractions in the city. On her last day in Utah, she was guided through the Olympic Park to see the world's highest Nordic ski jump and fastest sliding tracks.
On this skiing adventure, Catherine was able to spend time with her family, explore the wonders of Utah, and learn about the Olympic history surrounding the sport of skiing. These experiences not only made for timeless memories, but also provided much needed time away from life back home on the east coast.
