Bricen is a happy boy with a mile-wide smile. Prior to being referred to Make-A-Wish, Bricen was diagnosed with a rare gastrointestinal disorder that required 13 surgeries, many more hospital visits, a restricted diet and a lot of stressful moments. Bricen spent an extended period out of state for treatment, during which time holidays and birthdays were missed. When Bricen was referred to Make-A-Wish, he and his family were ready for an experience that was nothing but happy. When asked what he would like for his once-in-a-lifetime wish experience, Bricen was ready: He wanted to go to the “happiest place on earth” – Walt Disney World® Resort in Orlando, Florida! Thanks to the generosity of the Walt Disney Company, Bricen’s wish came true. His favorite moments during the weeklong adventure were riding on the Magic Kingdom railroad and meeting his favorite characters, including Goofy and Chip & Dale. The best news: Bricen’s health is stable. According to his mom, Colby, doctors are pleased with Bricen’s progress and he hasn’t had to stay overnight at a hospital since his wish was granted!
