“It’s important for us to stay connected to kids and families in our community because of the common values we share,” said Social Media & PR Director Michaela “MJ” Jaskowiak.

“Just like we see the joy light up in kids’ eyes when they are painting every day in our studio, creating happy memories and experiences for wish kids is what we are all about.”

During the month of September, As You Wish locations sell Wish Stars and host a round-up campaign benefiting Make-A-Wish Arizona. This year specifically, they matched all donations received during their anniversary weekend.

“We love providing an easy way for our customers to give back, but it’s also jumpstarted a new energy in our staff,” said MJ. “Our employees often give their own money to contribute and have chosen to do fundraisers like these as a team building experience rather than other activities.”

It shows that small actions can create a bigger impact – our whole team has seen that ripple effect.

As You Wish also has hosted several wish reveals, allowing wish kids to paint something related to their wish before their volunteers announce their wish is coming true.

“We are so similar as both of us create tangible memories – us with our pottery because every time a wish kid or family member looks at it or uses it, they remember the time spent with their loved one to create it,” MJ continued.

“And Make-A-Wish Arizona with wishes because every time a wish kid uses their gaming system or spends time in their new backyard, it reminds you of the special moment when your wish was granted.”
