Wish kid connections encourage Seth Bacon to give back

Knowing a wish kid creates a connection for Seth Bacon

Seth Bacon’s relationship with Make-A-Wish Arizona began after a personal experience, where he saw the good work the organization does first-hand.

“My son’s best friend received a wish a few years ago,” said Seth. “Trey has a debilitating diagnosis and it’s hard for him to find clothes that fit him, so he wished for a screen press to make his own shirts with his ‘Tough Truth’ motto and design.”

As time went on, Seth noticed that Trey wasn’t the only person affected by a wish.

“A friend of mine from high school had a son who also received a wish, for a Seahawks bedroom makeover,” he said. “Giving to an organization where I can look at two friends of mine who have been directly impacted means a lot.”

“Bridget Doherty from the Arizona office invited me for a tour of the building and meeting staff members and seeing the visuals of previous wishes was profound. That day at the Wish House was an important turning point and it was hard not to get involved after that!” he continued.

Now, Seth is a member of the Make-A-Wish Arizona Wishmakers Council, donating through his organization, Trinity Air Medical, as well as individually. He believes giving back is crucial, especially now.

“Many nonprofit organizations won’t make it through the pandemic and it’s important to support them during this tough time,” he said. “I was so inspired that Make-A-Wish continues to grant hundreds of wishes each year here in Arizona. I know it’s not an easy task and I think they are doing a great job with the wishes they are able to grant right now for these kids.”

“It’s an honor and a privilege to be in this position because I haven’t always been able to give financially,” he continued. “It’s opened my eyes to the needs of our community and I’ve really enjoyed the opportunity to get my organization and family involved, too.”
