Nyadoi takes her family on a grand ski adventure

Nyadoi had been skiing before but never with her family.  

“I really enjoyed skiing and thought that it would be a good wish because I could do it with my family and I wanted to try it again,” said Nyadoi. Her wish to travel to Northern Arizona for a ski trip included four days of snow and adventure, as well as horseback riding and, most importantly, family time.  

“Everyone was there this time,” she continued. “All my siblings came too. I knew I had fun by myself but I really liked it with my whole family.” 

Nyadoi’s mother, Brittany, could see her change during the wish process but it was definitely apparent during the wish.  

“She’s had a hard life. She’s been through so much. Seeing her wish come true and watching her feel proud of herself on the ski slopes was an amazing experience that nobody in our family will ever forget!” 

Nyadoi’s wish came at the perfect time. Recovery from her bone marrow transplant was complete, the pandemic had kept her inside for the past year and she was ready to be outside and doing something new.   

“She did not stop smiling the whole trip! She did amazing in the ski lessons and loved skiing, getting to choose the food/dinners, horseback riding in the snow, the cabin, and on and on. She had the time of her life!” said Brittany. “We so appreciate everything everyone did to make her wish special.”
