Jack in the Box® raises $1.2 million for future Arizona wishes selling $1 wish stars

Over the past seven years, local Jack in the Box® restaurants have spent the month of March selling $1 wish stars to guests, employees, leaders and more in their efforts to help grant wishes for Arizona children with critical illnesses.

This year, the 170 Jack in the Box® restaurants in the Phoenix and Tucson areas, as well as locations in Lake Havasu City, Yuma and Flagstaff, reached a special milestone, with the 2021 March fundraisers helping the restaurant mark a record $1.2 million raised over the seven-year program.

“This milestone showcases exactly what can happen when a community comes together to help children when they need it most,” said Elizabeth Reich, chief executive officer and president of Make-A-Wish Arizona. “The Jack in the Box franchise owners, team members, guests and families have made a huge impact for the children of Arizona these past seven years. Their support has granted upwards of 120 wishes and created a significant amount of hope.”

Jack in the Box® runs the campaign in restaurants every March. Its success has led additional franchises in California and New Mexico to take note and take part, helping wish kids in those areas.

“I love that what we raise goes back to the community who is giving,” said Adam Stine, Jack in the Box® Franchise Operator. “We are allowed to show Arizona wish kids that we are behind them, while introducing the power of a wish to our customers, employees and partners!”
