Your time and talents are critical to bringing strength and hope to wish kids.
Explore some of the ways you can transform lives for wish kids in your community!
Wish Discovery Volunteer
A wish discovery volunteer meets the wish child and family to the wish kid discover their one true wish. Each wish is a uniquely personal decision and represents hope, strength, and joy during an otherwise difficult moment in time for a child facing a critical illness.
Time Commitment: 1 hour monthly and/or as many discovery visits you choose
Wish Boost Volunteer
The entire wish journey can take between 7 to 12-months, so our volunteers and staff find creative and thoughtful ways, or Wish Boosts, to keep the excitement growing along the way. Wish Boost volunteers work in teams of two to design and send personalized wish boosts at specified times throughout their wish journey. Volunteers celebrate healthcare milestones, successful treatments, and provide moments of hope for wish kids during a medical journey often filled with obstacles and uncertainty. Â
Time commitment: 1-4 hours monthly depending on the wish
Airport Greeter
Experience the essence of helping wishes take flight! A volunteer airport greeter meets wish families at designated airports upon their arrival or departure for their wish experience. Your presence adds an extra touch of love and encouragement as you witness the joy and excitement as wish children embark on their wish adventure.
Time commitment: 2-3 hours per airport sendoff
Event Volunteer
An event volunteer assists with the planning and execution of various Make-A-Wish Arizona internal and external events. Assistance is occasionally required for wish granting and other mission-related events.Â
Time commitment varies depending on the event

When thinking about his wish, Angel had shyly mentioned Chica, a therapy dog he met during treatment. He absolutely loved her and she inspired his wish to have a Yorkie puppy!
As an office volunteer, Bobby loves assisting the people who are making wishes come true behind the scenes.
