Amalia Bauza shares the joy of bringing wishes to life
Amalia Bauza first connected with Make-A-Wish Arizona because of her son.
"I have a special needs son who plays baseball for the Miracle League and one of the kids had a wish for the new scoreboard," she said. "His wish was actually for the entire team because it benefits everyone and I thought, I have to be a part of this organization."
Three years later, Amalia is still granting wishes and loves every single one.

"I've granted wishes for shopping sprees, gaming setups and tons of Disney trips," Amalia said.
"One of my most memorable wishes was a 3 year old boy named Jace who wished to have a backyard playset. We got him a swing and a slide and fake grass," she continued. "I'm still friends with his mom and she sends me photos of birthday parties and when he rang the little bell and was cancer free."
For Amalia, the best part of granting wishes is seeing it all come together and the look on a child's face.
"In the beginning you get to know the kid and their wish vision. Then, all the work that goes into it and the people who are putting the pieces together behind the scenes get to see it come to a culmination."
It brings you so much joy to be part of their journey. It will bring joy to the child and to your life.
