Graham's New Green Ride

A day on the course ended in a special surprise for a special wish kid.

If you were out near Greystone Golf Course on Monday, April 26, you may have noticed a few more golfers than usual. In addition to enjoying a beautiful day on the course, these generous supporters were participating in Putt Wishes First, a golf tournament benefitting Make-A-Wish Alabama and presented by Browning Trail Cameras.

The day was enjoyed not only by the tournament participants, but also by wish kid Graham. This 5-year-old from Prattville had his wish granted with the help of fellow local wish kid Braxton. Braxton and his family are Greystone residents, so it was the perfect opportunity for him to come out and assist in announcing Graham's wish.

Graham has been battling cancer, so his wish for a green golf cart will be a fun and exciting way for his family to spend time together. With two brothers, we're sure it'll be put to good use! Special thanks to community partners Rohm Automotive and Conner Milam Real Estate for making this wish come true.

Graham and his family

As the Putt Wishes First tournament drew to a close, golfers and their families headed to Greystone Country Club to socialize, eat, and enjoy live music from the Russ Maddox Band. Here, wish kid Braxton took to the state to announce to Graham that his wish was being granted! His new green golf cart was pulled right up to the stage, and Graham and his family got to load up and test the golf cart out on the beautiful course at Greystone.

The first annual Putt Wishes First Golf Tournament was a smash hit, raising over $100,000 that will help grant wishes just like Graham's right here in Alabama. We'll see you on the course next year!
