Nearly 500 children are diagnosed with a critical illness each year in Wisconsin, and one organization has dedicated 40 years to helping them and their families while spreading messages of hope and inspiration.

Among the thousands going to see WWE Smackdown at Fiserv Forum Friday night included a Milwaukee Boy who wished to see one of the professional wrestlers.

Disney's Aladdin is in town, just for the week, at the Marcus Performing Arts Center. A portion of each ticket sold is benefiting the Wisconsin Make-A-Wish Foundation. Parents and a dozen children got to be here for this special invitation. Their stories may be different, but when you talk to them, you hear one thing in common: they've battled and have come out on the other side stronger.

The annual Make-A-Wish "Walk For Wishes" returned to Milwaukee's Henry Maier Festival Park Saturday morning, Sept. 9. The walk raises money, of course, but it is also a place for families to share their stories.

A major milestone was reached for Make-A-Wish Wisconsin Tuesday night. Madison’s regional office celebrated its 10th anniversary with a reveal of the 500th wish granted in the Madison area. The event’s recipient is three-year-old Gracie who is living with lymphoblastic leukemia. One goal was to make a dream of hers come true.

Sophia Skrede, a 10-year-old Kaukana girl who suffers from a rare liver disorder, had a simple wish: A backyard play house where she and those close to her could spend time outside safely.

Staying indoors on a beautiful day is hard for most people, but one Kaukauna girl is about to enjoy a lot more sunshine thanks to a new playhouse from Make-A-Wish.
