The Milwaukee Bucks made dreams come true for four children Tuesday, offering the kids one-day contracts and special meet-and-greets with players as a part of a Make-A-Wish event.

The Milwaukee Bucks held a practice Tuesday morning, to tune up for their evening game at Fiserv Forum. But maybe the coolest thing they did all day came right after that practice. They spent some quality time with four kids and their families -- young basketball fans who are fighting some serious health challenges.

In a heartwarming show of support for children with critical illnesses, the 27th Annual Make-A-Wish Truck Convoy, held in memory of Jim Hetze and Todd Schonfeldt Sr, achieved a remarkable milestone this year. The event, which took place on June 8, 2024, raised an impressive $34,100, all of which went directly towards making dreams come true for children in need through the Make-A-Wish Foundation.

Make-A-Wish Wisconsin has been granting wishes for 40 years. Monday evening, the foundation granted 4-year-old Maizlee’s wish to go to the Shedd Aquarium followed by presents, princesses and pizza.

The annual “Walk For Wishes” event brought families together on Saturday morning in Fitchburg. The event featured a 1-mile walk, kids dash, petting farm, food, games, family entertainment, mascots, princesses and 501st Wisconsin Legion characters.

The 27th Annual Make-A-Wish Truck Convoy in memory of Jim Hetze and Todd Schonfeldt Sr took place on June 8, 2024. The convoy raised $34,100 this year, with all funds going to help fulfill wishes for area children through Make-A-Wish.

A Fox Point teen got the Amazing Race experience she wished for, Milwaukee Edition, and all while spreading a message of resilience Sunday. “I do not want to be defined by the worst moments in my life,” Theresa Reisel said.
