The Trailblaze Challenge, an 18 mile hike through the picturesque Shenandoah National Park, takes place on April 13 with training hikes leading up to the big day!

Wish Granter Volunteer Training

We're hosting an in person wish granter volunteer training for the Roanoke community!
This training will be held to train wish granter volunteers in Roanoke and the surrounding communities. Wish granters work in teams of two to help make wishes come true. This role involves interviewing the child and family to determine the wish, working with staff to help fulfill the wish and providing hope along the way to the wish child. Some wishes may involve a small wish celebration when the wish is granted! The time commitment varies, but we estimate 7-8 hours per wish over the span of the wish journey, with the wish interview and granting almost always take place in the evening or on a weekend.
We are looking for volunteers who can make a long-term commitment (minimum of one year). (Minimum age: 21)Â
