Marketing Coordinator

Summary

The Marketing Coordinator is a key contributor to our mission by implementing day-to-day marketing operations. The position includes managing the Chapter’s donor segmentation and email marketing, recruiting event participants, creating engaging and impactful content, and working with external event fundraisers.

This position is part-time (20 hours/week) and reports to the Director of Marketing and Communications

Responsibilities
  • In collaboration with the Development and Program teams, plan and execute digital marketing campaigns to recruit event participants/supporters, attract and steward donors, and raise awareness.
  • Build thoughtfully designed, segmented e-communications for chapter, including targeted donor segmentation emails and monthly digital newsletter.
  • Collaborate on development fundraising initiatives and programs to plan, guide and direct digital marketing.
  • Analyze campaign, audience and program performance using Raiser’s Edge, Luminate Online, website performance using Google analytics and other tools as needed.
  • Determine audience strategy across various CRM tools. Continually test and iterate recruitment and engagement tactics across mass marketing to maximize engagement and fundraising.
  • Work with team to populate and manage the Chapter’s communications content calendar.
  • Assist with storytelling and content creation for digital platforms and email marketing.
  • Grow audience share, engagement, and drive revenue across digital platforms.
  • Work with supporters holding external fundraisers to ensure materials are brand-compliant and that fundraisers have the tools they need to be successful.
  • Collaborate with Make-A-Wish Foundation® of America on best practices and resources.
  • Performs other duties as required.
Requirements
  • BS/BA in marketing, communications, or related field preferred.
  • 2+ years marketing, digital communications, or direct response experience.
  • Must possess exceptional writing skills to draft and edit clear, persuasive, and original copy. Familiarity with AP Style is a plus.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office and Adobe Suite (InDesign, Illustrator, Photoshop) are required, light video editing experience is a plus.
  • Demonstrated experience with project management, customer service, interpersonal skills, writing and presentation skills, and attention to detail
  • Ability to prioritize and manage multiple responsibilities with minimal supervision, often under pressure with tight deadlines
