It's Off to a Winter Wonderland for Quinn

After being treated for leukemia for over two years, 4-year-old Quinn wished to play in the snow with her best friend, Natalie.

Quinn and family headed off to Tahoe where they met up with Natalie and played in the snow for the first time! Their time was spent building snowmen, having snowball fights, going snow tubing and ice skating and tasting falling snowflakes. Best friend necklaces, painted pottery, and Build-A-Bears gave the girls a way to bring their memories home. Watching Natalie and Quinn slide down the slopes with giggles and grins on their faces - having the time of their lives - was just what the family needed.

It snowed the entire time we were there. It was perfect.

"It snowed the entire time we were there. It was perfect. Part sunny, snowing, and Quinn and Natalie simply had the time of their lives. Especially the inner-tubing! Make-A-Wish® has done an amazing job for our child and our family."

This entire experience has a positive impact not only for the child, but the families as well. For the parents and loved ones, it is a priceless gift to see their child light-up, and smile, and be that little kid again. It is Hope and truly therapy for all involved.

When a child is or becomes afflicted with a life-changing ailment their entire world becomes about what they can't do. By working directly with the child and their family, Make-A-Wish® Tri-Counties creates an environment for the child to do what THEY want, and truly shine.
