It's More Than a Walk! What's in Store for Walk for Wishes 2022?

Whether you are a first-time attendee or a seasoned participant, this year’s Walk For Wishes event has plenty in store for you. Entering its 20^th year, the event brings the community together in support of children suffering from critical illnesses right here in Southern Nevada. This is so much more than a Walk! Check out some of the fun to be had below.

Walk brings together some of the most recognizable faces in our community. This year’s program portion of the event will feature wish granter turned wish dad, Criss Angel, alongside our event emcees, Kim and Dana Wagner of News 3 Las Vegas along with JC and Mercedes of Mix 94.1. They’ll be entertaining the crowd before the Walk and cheering you on as you head out on the route around beautiful Town Square Las Vegas. Our 2022 Wish Kid Ambassadors will also be at the event to offer support and motivation to get you across the finish line. Learn more about them here! 

If you’ve ever wanted to hop inside a vintage fire truck, this is your chance! Our popular Touch-A-Truck area will feature a variety of emergency vehicles, garbage trucks, big rigs and more. This is a great chance for families to bring their kiddos in to see what the buttons and switches inside these massive vehicles can do!

Animal therapy comes in many forms, and we’ve got you covered at this year’s Walk! Pet, feed or take a selfie with a goat, duck, rabbit, chicken, or sheep.  You herd it here first.

Walk For Wishes is a colorful community event that is made even brighter by our partner’s Pinot’s Palette and Balloons with a Twist. Enjoy a fun paint project or let your face be the canvas as you walk away with a colorful design (and maybe a balloon animal!). We even heard there was a slime station for those who prefer to play with their art. It will be a Slimy Good Time!  

New this year is a life-sized game area of your dreams! Grab your friends for a game of Connect 4 Basketball, Foosball, Giant Cornhole, or Giant Jenga. Even better, try all four games!

We will make sure you have plenty of opportunities to be fueled with donuts and coffee. After the event, be sure to check out some of the great Town Square vendors for food, shopping, and more. You’re already there – so make a day of it!

From our photo booth activations to chance encounters with princesses and Star Wars characters, photo opportunities abound at Walk For Wishes. Make sure your phone is charged because you’re not going to want to miss these Instagramable moments.

While everyone will walk away with a Walk For Wishes t-shirt, you can also pick up some fun Make-A-Wish swag – from wine tumblers and sweatshirts to even dog bandanas. The first 100 people who raise $250 will also receive an exclusive Make-A-Wish Southern Nevada mesh hat. We can’t wait to see you all sporting Make-A-Wish blue!

We absolutely love seeing your four-legged friends every year at Walk. New this year, the Animal Foundation will join us and provide pup-sicles, a kiddie pool where dogs can cool off their paws, and even the chance to foster a sweet pup yourself. Make sure to stop by and say hello! We will also have Make-A-Wish puppy swag for sale.

During packet pick-up week, Walk attendees will receive a voucher for two free general admission tickets (while supplies last) to see the Las Vegas Lights FC, the city’s very own professional soccer team. Continue the party by bringing your Walk crew to the Lights game that night – they play Los Angeles at Cashman Field at 7pm.
