Last month I asked you to share your stories with me. This month, I’d like to share my own with all of you. 

When someone interviews at Make-A-Wish Southern Nevada, my final question is always, “Why us, why now for where you are in your career?” When our kids are discovering and ultimately deciding on their wish, I tell our staff and volunteers if they can’t come up with the “why” of the wish, they need to do more work with the kiddo.  

And often when I’m meeting people they ask, “What brought you to Make-A-Wish Southern Nevada?” And as I recently celebrated my sixth anniversary here, some also ask, “What makes you stay at Make-A-Wish Southern Nevada.” 

So, in my own words, and off the page, here’s what brought me and keeps me at Make-A-Wish Southern Nevada.
