Sury Serves Big at IMG
Battling a lifelong inflammatory disorder, Sury has grown accustomed to taking daily medications and keeping his dietary restrictions top of mind. The older he gets, the more he understands his condition and how to best keep himself stable.
From the minute Sury, his parents, and older brother stepped foot in Sarasota, they were treated like royalty. Sury’s tennis camp of choice was none other than IMG Academy, the world’s leading sports education brand, providing access and opportunity for student-athletes from the start of their career. The generous staff at IMG Academy developed a 5-day program customized to Sury’s skill level and passion for tennis.
Every morning, Sury would head over from his luxurious on-campus villa to receive coaching from world-class players. IMG also programmed his schedule to include a proper student-athlete’s curriculum, complete with nutrition classes, mental training sessions, weightlifting sessions, and a character and leadership development class.
Sury describes every moment he spent as one to remember, but a highlight was playing against Olympian-turned sports announcer—Jimmy Arias! Jimmy challenged Sury to make 20 points to earn a VIP experience at the 2026 U.S. Open. Sury’s final match at IMG was against the person who inspired his love for tennis—his brother. Sury won!
The week concluded with a celebratory dinner for Sury, his family, and everyone who contributed throughout the week to help make his wish come true.
This was a really wholesome moment. I really felt supported and loved feeling a part of this community.
