Whether he’s dressed head-to-toe in pirate gear or hunting for treasure with his metal detector, Mason lives for high-seas fun. According to his family, Mason’s passion for pirates goes beyond toys and games; everything has to be pirate themed – even birthdays and Halloween costumes! So when it came time to choose his wish, Mason didn’t hesitate — he wanted to be a pirate.  

His wildest dream came true in the Florida Keys, where he and his family set sail for an unforgettable journey at Hawks Cay Resort. Two seasoned pirates welcomed Mason aboard for a day full of excitement: he learned expert sword-fighting skills, designed his own pirate hat, embarked on a wild treasure hunt around a real pirate ship, and swapped sea tales like a true buccaneer. 

This wish didn’t just leave a lasting impact on Mason — it inspired one of the actors who played a pirate that day. She later joined us on the World of Wishes Podcast to share her heartfelt story, including her personal connection to Make-A-Wish and how Mason’s courage and joy reminded her why wishes matter.
