REPORTS TO:             Brand Strategy Manager
STATUS:                     Full Time Non-Exempt
SCHEDULE:                35 hours per week (7 hours x 5 days) in Miami headquarters

 

POSITION SUMMARY

The Brand Projects Coordinator will provide day-to-day support for the execution of brand initiatives that inspire action, build community, and advance the organization’s mission. This role is responsible for coordinating cross-functional projects, managing timelines, organizing deliverables, and ensuring consistency across brand-related activities. The Brand Projects Coordinator will support campaigns, donor communications, internal brand engagement, donor stewardship and recognition and wish alumni initiatives—helping translate strategic ideas into actionable plans with attention to detail and creativity.

This position is ideal for a highly organized team player with strong communication skills and a passion for brand storytelling in the nonprofit space. A working knowledge of graphic design tools and platforms (such as Adobe Illustrator, InDesign, Photoshop, or Canva) is highly desired, as the coordinator will assist in creating and editing branded materials including presentations, flyers, donor collateral, and social graphics. Experience with project management tools and an understanding of nonprofit communications best practices will be especially valuable.

 

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES
Coordinate and manage cross-functional brand projects from planning through execution

  • Schedule and lead project kickoff meetings with key stakeholders
  • Develop and maintain project plans, including timelines and milestones
  • Track deliverables and ensure timely completion from all contributors
  • Organize and maintain project documentation and shared files

Support implementation of brand initiatives that align with organizational mission

  • Assist with planning and launching brand campaigns (e.g., awareness initiatives, special events, impact storytelling)
  • Coordinate content creation and visual assets to align with brand messaging
  • Gather and report on performance metrics and engagement

Assist in the planning and execution of integrated marketing and donor communication campaigns

  • Support creation of email campaigns, print materials, and social media content
  • Coordinate review and approval process for marketing assets
  • Work with Brand Advancement, Mission Resources and Regional Office teams to align messaging and timing

Collaborate with internal teams and external partners to ensure cohesive and consistent brand representation

  • Serve as a liaison between departments (Brand Advancement, Mission Resources, Mission Delivery, Regional Offices) for brand-related projects
  • Ensure vendors and outside entities adhere to brand guidelines
  • Schedule and facilitate status updates or cross-team check-ins

Develop and maintain project documentation, including timelines, task trackers, and status reports

  • Use project management software (e.g., Asana, Monday.com) to assign tasks and monitor progress
  • Generate weekly or bi-weekly reports on project status
  • Maintain shared calendars for team visibility on upcoming initiatives

Create and edit branded materials such as presentations, flyers, donor collateral, internal communications, and social media graphics

  • Design visual assets using tools like Adobe Illustrator, InDesign, Photoshop, or Canva
  • Adapt content to fit multiple platforms and formats (e.g., print vs. digital)
  • Proofread and ensure accuracy, brand consistency, and visual appeal

Support stewardship and recognition efforts for donors and wish alumni

  • Assist with creation of recognition materials such as thank-you cards, donor spotlights, and impact reports
  • Maintain donor stewardship templates and update them as needed

Help ensure brand consistency across all communication channels

  • Review outgoing materials for adherence to brand guidelines
  • Maintain up-to-date brand templates and tools for staff use
  • Provide guidance or feedback to colleagues on brand voice and visual identity

Work with Mission Delivery team to identify wishes for media outreach

  • Maintain the calendar for upcoming media-friendly wishes
  • Collaborate with outside vendors to ensure information is communicated in a timely manner
  • Follow up with internal staff to ensure all approved wishes are processed for media coverage

Monitor project progress and flag delays or obstacles

  • Anticipate resource constraints or timeline challenges
  • Proactively communicate delays or concerns with solutions-oriented recommendations
  • Support team in adjusting scope or timelines when needed

KEY QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor’s degree in communications, marketing, public relations, nonprofit management, or related field (or equivalent experience)
  • Strong organizational and time-management skills with an ability to manage multiple priorities simultaneously
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with a keen eye for detail and consistency.
  • Proficiency in graphic design tools such as Adobe Illustrator, InDesign, Photoshop, Canva or similar.
  • Knowledge of nonprofit communications strategies and donor engagement best practices.
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment with a solutions-oriented mindset.
  • Demonstrated experience with project management tools
  • Passion for mission-driven storytelling and brand-building.
  • Strong writing, messaging, and storytelling skills.

  • Proven experience with design tools and visual identity systems (Canva, Adobe Photoshop, Adobe Illustrator, Adobe InDesign, Adobe Premiere Pro) and the ability to adapt to new design materials upon request.
  • Ability to travel within our territory frequently, particularly nights and weekends.

Internship Requirements

Internships are available during the Fall, Spring & Summer semesters and applications are accepted and reviewed on a rolling basis. Interns are expected to work between 15 to 20 hours a week during an 12 to 16 week period. Internships are also available for course credit (contingent upon university approval). All internships are non-paid.  

Qualified applicants will possess strong written and oral communication skills, working knowledge of the Microsoft Office Suite which includes Excel, Word, and PowerPoint, and demonstrate maturity and responsibility. Ability to handle multiple tasks and possess strong organizational skills is also encouraged.

Internship - Program Services

This individual will assist the Program Services Department in planning and follow-up of wishes for eligible children. This intern will maintain communication with wish families, communicate with medical professionals, assist with referral calls, complete file close-outs, and update the wish database. Ideal for applicants pursuing a degree in Social Work, Psychology, Child Life or related fields. All majors are welcome. Applicants that are bilingual in Spanish or Creole are needed and encouraged to apply. Miami office only.

Internship - Development/Fundraising

The Development - Fundraising Intern will assist in all areas related to fundraising and will support major fundraising programs. General responsibilities include strategic planning to grow programs such as Kids For Wish Kids, Wishes in Flight, Corporate partners, and Workplace giving; research and solicit local companies, schools, clubs and civic organization etc.; cultivate new donors; set up speaking engagements for new donors; form and manage a youth advisory board to grow our Kids for Wish Kids program; and help update and maintain files for donors and events. Ideal for applicants with ease and comfort speaking with others, organizational skills and ability to handle multiple tasks, proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel, working knowledge of social media, excellent writing and communications skills and a positive attitude. Bonita Springs, Sarasota, and Tampa offices only.

Internship - Development/National Alliances  

The Development/National Alliances Intern will provide assistance and support to annual fundraising campaigns that include, but are not limited to, cultivating, soliciting and stewarding individual and corporate donors to help build relationships with our local and national alliances. Intern will play a role in the coordination and implementation of fundraising initiatives including promotions with national corporate partners, and learn how for-profit corporations partner with nonprofits to further their initiatives. Additionally, there will be some event planning assistance, including an opportunity to participate in and organize logistics for wish celebrations and donor cultivation events. This role will directly participate in the coordination of key national partnership campaigns including Subaru’s Share The Love & Macy’s Thanks For Sharing campaigns. Applicants should have strong organizational and time management skills, excellent customer service skills and be passionate about learning non-profit work. Through a combination of learning experiences, work projects and group collaborations, the intern will gain an understanding of nonprofit fundraising, community outreach and marketing. Internship - Development/Stewardship

The Development/Stewardship Intern will provide assistance and support to the Development department with annual fundraising efforts that include, but are not limited to, cultivating, soliciting and stewarding individual, corporate and foundation donors. Responsibilities will include cause-related marketing projects, community outreach, grant research, help in coordinating donor stewardship that includes, but is not limited to, gathering wish story information to share with donors, coordinating donor mailings  etc. - all in an effort to raise funds needed to grant wishes.  
 
Applicants should have strong organizational and time management skills, excellent customer service skills and be passionate to learn about  this aspect of non-profit work . Through a combination of learning experiences, work projects and group collaborations, the intern will gain an understanding of nonprofit fundraising, community outreach and marketing. Internship - Brand Advancement

This intern will support the Brand Advancement Team in a variety of areas including story writing/researching, social media, and public relations. During this internship you will learn to work within a team, develop oral and written communication skills, improve problem solving skills through task management, and gain knowledge of a career in the non-profit field.  

Applicants should be self-motivated and have strong communication skills and attention to detail. Experience with social media (Facebook, Twitter, YouTube, Instagram, Google+), web research, and story writing is strongly encouraged. Ideal for applicants pursuing a degree in Communications, Journalism, or other fields with an emphasis on writing skills. Internship - Special Events

The Special Events Intern supports Make-A-Wish's major special events. The primary responsibilities include assisting with marketing of events, facilitating the donation of high-end auction items and designing and implementing the visual aspects of silent auction displays. The Special Events Intern will also provide general assistance and office support to Development Team, and interact with donors and vendors relating to the events. Ideal for applicants pursuing a degree in Marketing, Public Relations, Business or related fields. All majors are welcome. Available in all offices.

Internship - Volunteer Relations  

The Volunteer Relations Intern will assist the Volunteer Coordinator in all aspects of the Volunteer Program including but not limited to recruitment and training volunteers, managing volunteer files, processing applications, and communicating with volunteers. Must be comfortable and confident communicating over the phone. Ideal for applicants pursuing a degree in Human Resources, Public Administration, or other related fields. All majors are welcome.
