On Saturday, August 19th, Athletic Republic Naples will host the #HourPushUpChallenge raising funds for Make-A-Wish Southern Florida. Athletic Republic is a youth sports performance center that uses science-based protocols backed by 30 years of research to help athletes improve their power, speed, strength, and agility. They work with athletes as young as 7 years old up to the collegiate level, and also have classes for adults. Community members will gather to participate in this special and meaningful experience, challenging themselves for a cause.  The #HourPushUpChallenge invites members and guests to work out for wishes, calling upon participants to do as many pushups as they physically can in a one-hour timeframe. Prior to the challenge, participants will collect monetary pledges, donated on a per push-up basis. Supporters of the event also may offer flat-fee donations via the website. 100% of the funds raised per push-up will be donated to Make-A-Wish Southern Florida to grant wishes to local kids.
