The annual event, presented by The Cox Group, will be held on March 2, 2024, at Wild Dunes Resort.
Hope is powerful medicine in a child’s battle against a critical illness. At Wish Night on March 2, 2024, at 6:00pm, the South Carolina community can partner with Make-A-Wish South Carolina to be the hope for wish kids that will rejuvenate and help wish kids cope with the stress of fighting a critical illness.
Wish families are our neighbors, our friends, our colleagues, our students – they are local children and families in South Carolina facing the unimaginable. For 40 years Make-A-Wish South Carolina, together with donors and volunteers, has created life-changing wishes for children with critical illnesses. But we are not finished. With approximately 400 children currently waiting on a wish, granting wishes is more urgent than ever before.
Make-A-Wish® South Carolina is proud to partner with presenting sponsor, The Cox Group, for this year’s event. Wish Night will offer the opportunity to collectively unite and initiate hope for children and their families that desperately need it to overcome trauma and sadness. Each of us remembers wishing for something as a child – to pet your favorite animal, to be a soldier, or to meet Minnie Mouse. We know that the moment tangible joy is on the horizon, everything changes. Wish Night guests will be imperative in helping critically ill children who have lost sight of that horizon, to gain it back by joining us in celebration and efforts to raise funds.
The spectacular evening event will provide guests with a front-row seat to inspiring stories and transformational surprise moments. In addition, they’ll enjoy silent and live auctions, a delicious gourmet dinner and live musical entertainment. Most importantly, guests will have the opportunity to make a direct gift and significant impact on wish granting in South Carolina.
“Wish Night is an incredibly special evening for our supporters and our organization,” said Misty Farmer, president and CEO of Make-A-Wish South Carolina. “No other event held by our chapter offers such an up-close, immersive experience with our wish families and our mission. We are delighted that The Cox Group could join us for our signature event. Their sponsorship allows us to deliver an elite event experience combined with unparalleled wish moments so that our community can create maximum impact for wishes. The Cox Group is setting a shining example of being a beacon of hope for wish kids.”
Barry Cox, president of The Cox Group, shared his pleasure of joining Make-A-Wish as the event’s presenting sponsor stating, “at The Cox Group it has always been important for our daily work to be synonymous with doing good work in our communities. By partnering with Make-A-Wish South Carolina, we are making a direct impact in the neighborhoods we serve. It’s an honor to be a part of transforming the lives of local families.”
