Managing Our Funds

Make-A-Wish South Carolina is a grassroots fundraising organization and grants the wishes of eligible children in South Carolina. Our mission is funded by corporate partnerships, special events, foundation grants and individual contributions.  We do not receive federal or state funding. As a 501(c)(3) tax exempt organization all gifts are deductible to the extent permitted by law. 

An audit is conducted annually by an independent audit firm and the results are published here along with the corresponding 990 federal tax filing.  Make-A-Wish South Carolina is accredited by the BBB.

In fiscal year 2022 we reported that 74% of every dollar given went directly to wish granting. 

We are proud to be an Accredited Charity with the Better Business Bureau Wise Giving Alliance, having met all 20 BBB Standards for Charity Accountability.
