3-year-old Martina's illness began with a simple swelling of her eye. A visit to the doctor brought a diagnosis no parent ever wants to hear- cancer. Martina's eye cancer radically changed her family's life in a moment. Through her ordeal Martina played with her stuffed toy dog and dreamed of having a puppy. The promise of her French Bulldog puppy gave her hope each day as she dealt with medical treatments.

It was true love as soon as she met her new best friend. Now with her friend by her side, any time she’s afraid she can whisper into his ear and she feels better. Her puppy – her wish – has helped turn fear into confidence.  Martina can feel more joy in her life thanks to her wish.
