Wow! What an evening Wish Night 2022 presented by Matt O'Neill Real Estate was. We were blown away by the support of our in-person guests and our online donors. Together, the sparked joy for 55 children with critical illnesses who will now be able to experience a wish-come-true. Wish Night supporters raised more than $410,000 - creating a new record as the most ever in a single night in our chapter's history!

When a child battling a critical illness has tangible joy on the horizon, everything changes. A child’s wish, sparks joy that will rejuvenate and help them cope with the stress of fighting a critical illness. We are grateful to all Wish Night 2022 supporters for making that a reality for 55 of our precious and courageous wish kids. A child’s joy is a light of hope for all of us. 

Event Highlights

Avery's Wish is Granted! Avery was surprised when her wish to have a bassoon was granted LIVE onstage! Avery said this is going to help her transition into a new stage of her life - high school!

Adrian Performs on the Trumpet Talented Wish Ambassador, Adrian, opened our program by performing a trumpet solo - including the University of Michigan fight song! He also shared his story of why his wish matters so much to him. His wish to play trumpet with the University of Michigan marching band helped him feel included and in his words made him realize that "family isn't always by blood alone."

Emcee and Wish Alumni Wish Alumni, David Thompson, stepped in and stepped up as our Wish Night Emcee. David shared his incredibly unique and inspiring wish story and had the audience feeling the love and magic of wishes all evening.

Deisy Dazzled Wish Ambassador, Deisy, sparkled throughout the evening in her gorgeous quinceañera ball gown. In addition, a replica of her wish cake was crafted by Gala Café & Bakery and served as dessert. Deisy was happy to share the impact of her wish with Wish Night guests.

Ethan Stuns with a Viola Solo Lastly, Ethan wowed the crowd by closing the program with a viola solo and received a standing ovation. This talented young man shared exactly why his wish to have a viola will positively impact his life for years to come and even shared some exciting news - his acceptance into college on a music scholarship!

Other highlights included a raffle drawing winner, a Chance To Win diamond bracelet giveaway, a rousing Live Auction and enjoyment of the story of Wish Ambassador Bennett's wish to be a police officer. The evening was rounded out by celebrating and dancing to live music. It was an incredible evening at our first gala in two years!
