Make-A-Wish® South Carolina Youth Leadership Council

Empowering the next generation of wish granters.

The Make-A-Wish® South Carolina Youth Leadership Council (YLC) is a volunteer initiative for high school students (grades 9–12) who are passionate about making a difference. Through fundraising, leadership development, and community service, YLC members support the mission of Make-A-Wish® South Carolina—bringing hope and joy to local children with critical illnesses.

Council members meet monthly throughout the school year in either Charleston or Greenville. Meetings feature guest speakers, mission moments, interactive leadership activities, and hands-on service projects that directly support wish kids. In addition to attending meetings, students are encouraged to raise $500 or more to help grant life-changing wishes.

This program is more than just a leadership opportunity—it’s a community of changemakers working together to transform lives, one wish at a time.
