Develop, manage, and implement marketing plan and budget; Internal and External Communication Management; Communication and Marketing Liaison Support for Chapter; Collaborate with National Campaign and Community Partners
Develop, manage, and execute marketing plan and budget:
- Development and implementation of a structured annual marketing plan to reach target audience, including (but not limited to) creating collateral, messaging, social media, advertising, public relations and communications and traditional media with a vision and path to larger 3-year plan
- Provides data analytics and quarterly reporting to track, monitor and inform marketing strategy and outcomes across all channels
- Designs MAWSNV collateral in-house as appropriate and ensure branding and materials are current
- Digitize all marketing collateral materials to latest digital delivery methods and technologies for ease of messaging and enhanced user/intended audience experience
- Oversee all project management workflow of marketing department including creative requests, campaign development, etc.
- Budget planning, oversight, and management for department
Internal and External Communication Management:
- Leads and liaises with public relations firm and executive team on press releases and various announcements; drafts press releases, coordinates media activities and marketing events, Facilitates additional media and marketing communications in support of all initiatives.
- Serves as primary point of contact for all chapter media activities and coordinates/facilitates MAWSNV media events with executive team and public relations firm and provide onsite support for all media related opportunities including in-studio interviews, etc.
- Writes, reviews, and edits internal and external communications to ensure consistency among various stewardship materials and organization messaging.
- Email creation and deployment to constituency groups through email platforms (Luminate and EMC)
- Oversee generation and production of annual report
- Oversees social media content / calendar strategy and project management as written by Content Specialist
- Collaborates and oversees the creation, updating and publishing of content with Content Manager
- Maintains organization website as the central source of information, consistently updating content, links, etc. with Content Specialist
Communication and Marketing Liaison Support for Chapter:
- Liaises with outsourced partners to manage video production, graphic design, campaign-specific outreach, and media partners
- Negotiates all media contracts, promotions, advertising buys
- Owns and reinforces Make-A-Wish brand and policies, acting to achieve consistent brand voice, vision, and aesthetic
Collaborate with National Campaign and Community Partners:
- Serve as chapter liaison with MAW national public relations and marketing team to submit compelling wish stories for use in promotions, sponsorships, etc.
- Liaises with MAW National Marketing team on Integrated Fundraising Messaging deployed through e-mail, etc.
- Liaises with printer companies on all organization projects ensuring compliance with Governing Policies, Performance Standards and Guidelines and Brand Standards
Lead, Manage, & Hold Accountable Direct Report
- Manages priorities and staff time to fulfill cyclical as well as new projects as needed
- Conduct quarterly and year-end performance evaluations for direct report
Position Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree and minimum three-years marketing experience
- Strong social media knowledge in our primary channels: Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, Linked In
- Must possess EXCEPTIONAL written skills, both spelling and grammar, to write and edit clear, persuasive, original copy
- Excellent computer skills required (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
- Knowledge of design programs (Adobe InDesign, Illustrator, Photoshop)
- Photography experience preferred to identify and capture marketable moments
- Data-entry/customer relationship database experience required, Salesforce knowledge preferred
- Must be self-motivated, creative, detail-oriented, and excel in problem-solving skills
- Has the ability to prioritize and manage multiple responsibilities with minimal supervision, often under pressure with tight deadlines
- Ability to deal with sensitive information with high confidentiality
- Ability to connect with people and engage others in the mission of the organization

- The job operates in a professional, open space office environment using standard office equipment
- Work-from-home capability two days per week after first 30 days
- There is a high probability of glitter encroachment on personal items at your workstation
