Make-A-Wish North Dakota gearing up for Giving Hearts Day
Small towns have the biggest hearts, according to Make-A-Wish North Dakota. The local branch of the internationally renowned youth, family and community charity is preparing for Giving Hearts Day, “the most generous day in our region.”

Wahpeton third graders support Make-A-Wish North Dakota
Wahpeton Elementary School collectively raised $3,032 for Make-A-Wish North Dakota. Make-A-Wish North Dakota is the local branch of the beloved charitable organization. Wishes are available to youth between ages 2-18 and can include trips, experiences and improvements.

Receiving biggest wish while battling toughest fight
Lauren Gregor, 19, Hankinson, is battling one of the hardest fights.
Gregor was diagnosed with Stage II Hodgkin's lymphoma in December 2021. According to Gregor and her family, the two and only really significant initial signs were itching and a lingering cough. Gregor’s Stage II cancer was described as a “bulky” Stage II, meaning there were no cancer cells below her diaphragm. Before her diagnosis, however, Gregor went months undiagnosed and became very sick.
“I was essentially watching my baby die and there was nothing I could do about it and no information being shared,” said Sara Krump, Gregor’s mother.

Bismarck 12-year-old receives her Make-a-Wish to start a YouTube
BISMARCK, N.D. (KFYR) - Finding strength in a challenging life event can be hard.
12-year-old Zahra Storseth is living with Bethlem Myopathy, scoliosis and restrictive lung disease, but she still finds joy during difficult times.
On Monday, Storseth had her wish come true after school.
She’s dreamed of being a YouTube star since she was two years old.
