Summary

Responsible for ensuring all departmental strategic plans are in sync with the objectives of MAWSN.

Responsibilities

Project Management

  • Prioritize and streamline strategic initiatives that deliver the company’s vision and realize the planned benefits
  • Action-oriented with the ability to lead and inspire team to get things done according to scope, schedule, and budget
  • Known to trouble-shooting and finding solutions to bring projects back on track
  • Team-oriented with proven records in building positive culture
  • Skilled in project, program, and portfolio management aspects
  • Run the governance around all workstreams including, but not limited to: Signature Internal Events (Walk For Wishes, Trailblaze Challenge, Fashion Luncheon), wish-granting (each wish as its own project), events at The Wishing Place (e.g., Volunteer Appreciation, Donor Appreciation evenings), and ad-hoc projects
  • Build and own project deliverables
  • Engaging with internal or external stakeholders or 3rd party vendors to determine the feasibility of the project to be undertaken and provide draft scope documents plans and high-level estimates
  • Liaising with internal teams to achieve quarterly and annual goals
  • Defining project resource requirements and updating relevant resource trackers accordingly
  • Creating and maintaining a full project plan for every project
  • Producing high level and detailed project estimates with ongoing tracking of cost and forecasting through the lifecycle of the project
  • Producing draft and detailed project plans
  • Scorecard reporting to include risk and issues
  • Manages project budgets and tracks of costs
  • Develop, maintain, and communicate annual calendar of known projects and timelines including national and local initiatives

Leadership

  • Provides strategic direction to and implementation of the Chapter’s annual goals
  • Cultivate existing relationships with internal departments to ensure education and more efficient process and procedures
  • Oversee projects budgeting process, execute proactively to the budget, and review monthly financial statements, notating variances
  • Prepares regularly scheduled or special reports accurately and efficiently
  • Participates in the development and growth of staff for both project and career growth, conduct performance reviews and timely coaching
  • Collaborative with Senior Leadership team to ensure projects align with the mission and are accomplished in an agreed-upon timeframe
Requirements
  • Bachelor’s degree, Project Management Professional (PMP) Certificate, or equivalent executive-level experience required
  • Minimum 5 years strong, comprehensive experience delivering and facilitating change in a corporate environment
  • Proven experience in leading highest-priority and cross-functional initiatives from initiation to completion
  • Troubleshooting knowledge and finding solutions to bring projects back on-track
  • Must possess excellent verbal, written, and presentation skills
  • Must be computer literate with proficiency in Smartsheet, MS Project, Microsoft Word, and Excel
  • Database/data-entry/customer relationship management required; Raiser Edge knowledge ideal, but not required
  • Ability to deal with confidential information with a high level of trust
  • Action-oriented with the ability to lead and inspire team to get things done according to scope, schedule, and budget
  • Ability to respond to rapidly changing situations and urgent deadlines
  • Must be self-motivated, creative, detail-oriented, and excel in problem-solving skills
