AMSTERDAM, New York – The fourth installment of St. Mary’s Hospital Presents Wish Fest, the community music festival in Amsterdam to benefit Make-A-Wish Northeast New York, will be held Saturday, July 10, at Riverlink Park, and will be headlined by local recording artists Madison VanDenburg of “American Idol” fame and David J.

The Rock Junkies and the X-Squad Water Ski Show Team will also perform.

The festival, which kicks off at 2 p.m. Saturday, will also feature a variety of food, drink and attractions suitable for all ages. The day on the banks of the Mohawk River will be capped by a fireworks show.

Parking will be available at 25 Bridge St. in Amsterdam. The park is located on the banks of the Mohawk River, and boaters are welcome. For more information, go to the Wish Fest Facebook page, or wishfestneny.org.

Bridge Street and then Shuttleworth Park hosted the event its first two years, while the 2020 Wish Fest was virtual.

“The Amsterdam community and beyond has really responded to Wish Fest and our efforts to help create wishes for children with critical illnesses,” organizer Ray Gawlak said. “People are looking forward to a safe, fun-filled day of outdoor music and activities.”
