Wish Idea Book
Just as no two children are alike, no two wishes are alike. Our goal when granting wishes is to understand as much detail as possible about your child’s vision of his or her wish and the reason behind it. Every wish experience is driven by the child’s interests, creativity and personality.
The Idea Book gives wish kids the opportunity to imagine their wish through different activities that encourage them to draw or write about:
- A real person or fictional character they’d love to meet
- Cool stuff they wish they could have
- An adventure they dream of taking
- A special place to visit
- Someone they wish they could be
Due to the pandemic, Make-A-Wish Georgia is able to move forward with certain wishes, while others remain on hold for a safer time. Here’s a quick summary of the wish requests we’re able to accept today.
Wishes we can consider:
- Gift wishes that allow for social distancing (as defined by federal and state and municipal health agencies). This could be a gift wish shipped directly to your home or a virtual wish experience to choose items of your child’s choice.
- Local or regional travel wishes that do not involve a plane, train or bus travel, and incorporate social distancing restrictions. This could be a trip to a vacation property rental at a nearby beach or mountain (must be within 8 hours driving distance.)
- Wishes that allow for virtual interaction with your child’s favorite celebrity or a person of interest.
We want you to know that we do not anticipate being able to provide other travel wishes for the calendar year 2021. This includes any travel by plane, a drive that’s more than 8 hours, and involves any activity where you would be exposed to a large group of people, like a theme park. In addition, we are not able to accept new wish requests for cruises or international travel outside of North America.
