Internship Opportunities

Make-A-Wish® Georgia has several internships that offer on-the-job training as well as a chance to impact the lives of children with critical illnesses.

Internship Opportunities at Make-A-Wish Georgia

At Make-A-Wish® Georgia, our interns do more than gain experience — they help bring hope, strength, and joy to children facing critical illnesses. Our internship program is designed to provide meaningful, hands-on learning while exposing students to the inner workings of a mission-driven nonprofit. Whether supporting wish experiences, strengthening community partnerships, or advancing operational excellence, interns play an important role in helping us deliver life-changing wishes. Our program emphasizes structured learning, professional mentorship, and meaningful contributions — not administrative busy work.

A Modern Internship Experience

Rather than limiting interns to rigid titles, our program is structured around functional areas. This allows us to align your strengths, academic background, and career interests with real organizational needs. Your internship may fall within one of the following areas:

  • Programs & Wish Experience – Support wish coordination, family engagement, and event logistics
  • Development & Community Engagement – Assist with fundraising initiatives, donor relations, and signature events
  • Marketing & Communications – Contribute to storytelling, social media, branding, and campaign support
  • Human Resources & Talent – Gain exposure to onboarding, culture initiatives, and professional development
  •  Administration – Help optimize processes, data tracking, and organizational workflows

Functional areas may evolve each semester based on organizational priorities. This approach ensures interns gain relevant, resume-building experience while making a tangible impact.
