This is the story of Peaches’ wish to be a model. It’s also the story of how the South Florida community came together to make one child’s dream come true.
Thirteen-year-old Peaches of Miramar dreamed of becoming a model. She’s seen her favorite models in magazines and on television, and now it was her turn to experience all of the glamour. Peaches and her mother traveled around town in style – in a sleek limousine. She tried on tons of outfits, got a fashion consult from designer Eva Danielle and was glammed up with hair and makeup by the stylists at Primp Salon & Hair Extension Boutique. She said, “My hair feels magical and I feel like a real supermodel.” Looking beautiful, her limousine headed to Pics Boutique for her photo shoot. She was a natural in front of the camera. Peaches smiled from ear-to-ear when she discovered that her photo would be featured in Ocean Drive Magazine.
After a modeling lesson from former pageant queen Becky Willard, Peaches was the star of the show at a preview party and press conference at the Mondrian Hotel on South Beach. She loved the attention as she took a practice walk down the runway.
Peaches was back in the spotlight for the most anticipated part of her wish, a runway show for FUNKSHION Fashion Week on South Beach. After getting her hair and makeup done, Peaches confidently strutted down the runway with the other supermodels in her custom-made dress designed by Eva Danielle. All eyes were on her as cameras flashed in every direction. “I felt like a real model tonight. My dream has now come true and I’m so grateful for all of this!”
