TALLAHASSEE, Fla. (WCTV) - A first-of-its-kind event for the capital city dared folks to conquer their fear of heights for a great cause. Make-A-Wish Central and Northern Florida brought their partnership with Over the Edge to Tallahassee for the first time Saturday, hoping to raise $75,000 in the process.

This is your chance to face your fear of heights and have a great time while supporting Make-A-Wish kids.

The Walt Disney World specialty license plate just hit a major milestone in raising $5 million for Make-A-Wish Central and Northern Florida. The pixie dusted state plate has helped grant wishes for more than 600 kids with critical illnesses — including Maddie’s, a wish kid from Melbourne who is battling leukemia and wished to spend a day with Disney royalty.
