Talithia battles a nervous system disorder, suffering from chronic neurological deterioration, and thus, loss of motor skills. This makes it difficult for Tali to perform normal functions, such as walking. Her face is expressive, but she does have a mild speech delay and does not currently form sentences. Her life expectancy is unknown. On October 2nd, this whimsical 3-year-old from Wisconsin had her wish come true. Tali wanted to feel like a princess and enjoy a magical tea party by the ocean. On October 2nd, this whimsical 3-year-old from Wisconsin had her wish come true. Tali wanted to feel like a princess and enjoy a magical tea party by the ocean. From the moment Talithia arrived, everything was designed to make her feel special. She started her royal adventure with a glamorous makeover, complete with nails, hair, and makeup. When she chose her princess gown, she went for blue to match Elsa—her favorite Disney princess! Her little smile lit up the room.
Then came the moment Tali had waited for: a beachside tea party with her three favorite princesses—Elsa, Anna, and Rapunzel! The look on her face when she saw them was pure joy. Together, they sang Tali’s favorite songs and shared delicious treats with her and her family.
This was Tali’s first time on the beach! All the way from Wisconsin, she was mesmerized by the sand between her toes, scooping up seashells to show her fellow princesses with pure wonder. From the elegant table décor to the gentle ocean breeze, every detail made it feel like a perfect dream - far from the worries of her disease.
“Without this, I don't know how we would go about making memories because of what she has - her life can be shortened. But with this, this gives us hope."

Once the princesses departed, Tali and her family were photographed in beautiful matching all-white outfits on the beach. The memories from their special trip to Florida will surely live on forever.
Despite the grand and fantastical nature of her wish, Tali got to experience a sense of normalcy with a family trip that had nothing to do with her illness. Talithia’s parents, Esteban and Mirian, both expressed their gratitude to Make-A-Wish for an experience they would not have otherwise had.
With the knowledge that Tali’s condition could worsen at any moment, the couple finds it difficult to focus on anything besides her well-being. With two additional children to look after, their trip granted Talithia’s entire family the opportunity to spend quality time together, exploring a whole new place.
Tali’s wish story reminds us of the importance of granting a child and their family a wish during some of their hardest moments.
