Pulaski 5th grader with cancer surprised with Hawaii vacation from Make-A-Wish
Teachers and students at Glenbrook Elementary in Pulaski surprised a classmate with a Hawaiian-themed birthday party on Friday afternoon. It was the lesser of two reveals, adding that she will also get to vacation in Hawaii thanks to the Make-A-Wish Wisconsin.

Make-A-Wish Wisconsin grants wish for Sun Prairie girl
Make-A-Wish Wisconsin has been granting wishes for 40 years. Monday evening, the foundation granted 4-year-old Maizlee’s wish to go to the Shedd Aquarium followed by presents, princesses and pizza.

Annual ‘Walk for Wishes’ raises money for Dane County Wish kids
The annual “Walk For Wishes” event brought families together on Saturday morning in Fitchburg. The event featured a 1-mile walk, kids dash, petting farm, food, games, family entertainment, mascots, princesses and 501st Wisconsin Legion characters.

2024 Make-a-Wish Truck Convoy Raises $34,100
The 27th Annual Make-A-Wish Truck Convoy in memory of Jim Hetze and Todd Schonfeldt Sr took place on June 8, 2024. The convoy raised $34,100 this year, with all funds going to help fulfill wishes for area children through Make-A-Wish.

Make-A-Wish Gifts Lawnmower to River Falls Boy
Make-A-Wish grants the wish of 10-year-old River Falls native Coby Clark, presenting him with a new lawnmower. “This is definitely not what I was thinking was going to happen today,” Clark said. “Today I thought it was just going to be like a little picnic in the park, because that’s what my mom said, and of course, I end up with something like this from Make-A-Wish.”

Childhood cancer survivor and her family will host golf outing fundraiser for Make-A-Wish
When Olivia Stern became severely ill in seventh grade, she thought she had the flu. She stayed home from school for a week and had a 103.8-degree fever. Olivia wasn’t getting better, so she went to the emergency room at Aurora Medical Center in Grafton. After some tests, the medical team suspected Olivia may not have the flu, so she went with her family to Children’s Wisconsin in Milwaukee. There, she underwent a bone marrow biopsy. Olivia was diagnosed with acute lymphoblastic leukemia in 2014, a common type of leukemia among children that targets blood and bone marrow.
