Isaac's Wish to go to Legoland
Make-A-Wish Maine celebrated our 1,800th wish granted to a Maine child battling a critical illness with Isaac's wish to go to Legoland!
“His tumor is benign,” wish mom Natasha explains about Isaac’s illness. “It’s never been shown to disappear, it only stabilizes and hopefully stops growing by the time he’s in his adulthood.”
“One of the first things the doctor said after coming out of [Isaac’s] surgery, is that Isaac qualifies for a wish and that he wants to refer us for that,” Natasha continued.
Twelve-year-old Isaac and his family had a VIP send-off as members of the Make-A-Wish community came together to wish him well. He spent his wish exploring Legoland, riding roller coasters, and visiting his aunt in California!
“It was the first time Isaac has been on an airplane and in a hotel, so it was a great experience,” says Natasha.
“I went on a rollercoaster, and I was able to make a Lego figure that looks exactly like me that will stay in Legoland forever,” recounts wish kid Isaac.
Fun Fact: Our 1,800th wish kid Isaac's favorite number is 18!
