BLUE BELL, PA.- Make-A-Wish® Philadelphia, Delaware and Susquehanna Valley has been selected for the 20th year as DLL (De Lage Landen) Annual Charity Golf Outing recipient.  This year’s outing will take place on Tuesday, September 12th at Union League Liberty Hill in Lafayette Hill, Pennsylvania. DLL will be joined by supporters, sponsors, and a wish family to celebrate this incredible milestone.  Over the last 20 years, DLL has been committed to granting life-changing wishes for children with a critical illness in the region.

Since the first golf outing in 2003, DLL has raised just shy of five million dollars and has granted wishes for 608 kids in the region.  Last year, the Annual Charity Golf Outing raised $240,000. With those funds, they were able to help grant 10 wishes for children with a critical illness in the region.  The success of the DLL Annual Charity Golf Outing would not be possible without the support of the many hole sponsors, whose gift directly benefits Make-A-Wish.  

“We are truly grateful to DLL for 20 years of generous partnership making wishes come true for local children with critical illnesses,” shared Karen Traten, Sr. Director of Development Operations at Make-A-Wish® Philadelphia, Delaware & Susquehanna Valley.  “Their leadership giving has greatly impacted our mission and positively influenced over 600 children and their families as they go through a difficult time.”

This year, those in attendance will hear from 7-year-old Kyle whose wish to Walt Disney World was granted over the summer.  Kyle, who was diagnosed with a brain tumor, wanted to go to Walt Disney World to meet Mickey Mouse.  He and his family had a fantastic time on the wish and have memories that will last a lifetime.
