Hello!
My friends at Make-A-Wish have been trying to reach you in efforts to help make more wishes like mine come true! Because of their generous supporters, Make-A-Wish Greater Virginia was able to send me and my family to St. Louis! I got to visit the aquarium, and the St. Louis Zoological Park, where I got to be Zookeeper for the day.
You might be curious what inspired me to select that wish. When I was undergoing cancer treatment, I often tuned into zoo shows on TV to help me cope. I was fascinated by the way the staff cared for the creatures and, even on my hardest days, couldn't help but smile at their charm.
My favorite part was when I got to spend time with penguins in a private room! I couldn't have asked for a better day and kept telling my mom "I think I picked a really good wish!"
