Dreams have a way of taking us to extraordinary places, and for Wish Kid Que'Vonn, his dream led him on an unforgettable adventure to American Dream® in Rutherford, New Jersey. This remarkable destination, just a stone's throw from the bustling streets of Manhattan, beckoned with its promise of excitement and wonder. At the heart of Que'Vonn's wish was a desire to explore North America's largest indoor water park and, most importantly, to meet a very special resident from the bottom of the sea. Little did he know that his journey would be filled with splashes, thrills, and a touch of undersea cartoon magic.

But there was another very special reason he really wanted to go, and it was to meet someone who lives at the bottom of the sea in a pineapple with his pet snail, Gary. Yes, we’re talking about none other than SpongeBob SquarePants! As a longtime fan of the popular show, Que’Vonn knew that SpongeBob spent time at American Dream and while there, he got to meet America’s favorite sea sponge in person! It was a moment Que’Vonn, his family, and SpongeBob will never forget!

And it only got more fun from there! Que’Vonn and his family splashed at the DreamWorks Water Park, explored the Nickelodeon Universe Theme Park (the biggest indoor theme park in the western hemisphere), and got a truly unique perspective at the Tilt 3D Art Experience. 

We could easily go on about their special day, but Que’Vonn’s mom summed it up best when she told us, “I would like to thank the Make-A-Wish Foundation for all they have done for my son Que’Vonn and the family. We all had such a beautiful time. Everything was planned so well and went off without a hitch. The best highlight for me during this trip was seeing my son meet SpongeBob in person. He has been watching the show since he was about 2-3 years old. Again, thank you and the Foundation for all you have done for my son Que’Vonn and our family.”
