Growing up watching your favorite Sesame Street characters on TVs and tablets is one thing but getting the chance to see them in person is an experience like no other. For Wish Kid Andrew, his wish was to visit Sesame Place in Langhorne, PA, where you can meet (and get hugs from) Grover, Cookie Monster, Elmo, Count von Count, and more!

With rides, shows, parades, and character meet-and-greets, there’s no end to the fun and excitement to be had at Sesame Place. Andrew and his family took it all in during their visit. Andrew especially loved getting a big hug from Grover and was so excited to see Cookie Monster come up to their table during their Dine with Friends experience. Andrew’s younger brother, Ashton, even got a chance to count with The Count (although according to Mom, Ashton fittingly calls him, “Ah, ah, ah!”).

As much fun as they had at Sesame Place, there was even more for the family to enjoy during their stay in the Philadelphia area. A trip to Philadelphia Zoo was one of the memorable days of the trip; Ashton especially enjoyed naming all the animals and feeding the giraffes! And to make sure they all got their exercise, a visit to Playpad Bucks, with its indoor mini-town, multi-level climbing gym, sensory room, and toddler play area, was also on the agenda.

This adventure was surely one to remember, and Andrew’s mom summed it up perfectly, when she told us, “We had an amazing time! It was so much better than we could have even imagined! We are still beaming, and the boys are loving all the souvenirs, they haven't stopped playing since they woke up. Thank you so much for all of it.”
