Jackie thought she and her family were at the Colonie Center Macy’s for a sale. It turned out the Make-A-Wish Northeast New York wish teen was really there for a fashion show — and she was the star!

Jackie was led to a red carpet outside fashion stylist Karina Marte’s office. After Jackie posed for photos, the 17-year-old learned her wish to go to Walt Disney World^® Resort would be soon granted — and she could pick out new ensembles to take with her, thanks to Macy’s!

“Omigod. This is adorable,” Jackie said as she entered an interior dressing room filled with tops, pants, dresses and footwear, among other goods. “I have no words. I really have no words at all.”

“Try on all of this,” said Ola Mancellari, Macy’s manager of business administration.

So Jackie did, under the watchful eyes of mom Amy, dad Tom, sister Caroline, Macy’s staff and wish granters Sandi Worona and Laurie Abelson. (Store manager Hillary Simpson also stopped by the wish reveal/show.)

Jackie tried on clothes, and for certain outfits made her way back to the red carpet. After a few trips, she navigated the runway like a seasoned pro.
