Make-A-Wish Northeast New York is delighted to share the inspiring story of Garnat Turner, a 14-year-old basketball enthusiast and kidney transplant recipient. Garnat's wish for an outdoor basketball court at his home has been fulfilled. On May 24th, 2023, surrounded by loved ones and a supportive community, Garnat's dream court was officially unveiled.
Garnat's wish became a reality thanks to the incredible support of various organizations and individuals. Wish Granters Michael and Linda Doyle spearheaded the project, along with Rifenburg Construction, CRAFCO Inc., and wish alum Joe Watroba, who generously sponsored the wish. The collaboration of these caring community members showcases the strength and compassion that can be achieved when people come together for a common cause.
